Last year when I used the SQL2008 to SQL2012 migration tool it gave me the option of choosing a backup location so if I updated Sims or FMS with any updates the automatic backups would be in a folder of my choice and not progfiles\mssql........\backup
I have just had to re install Sims and FMS...
